Program Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best way to sort through the schedule so that I don't miss out on anything?
This conference has a multitude of offerings! Start by viewing the full schedule.
Coming soon will be the ability to filter the schedule content by topic, session type, virtual offerings, and more.
There are other core competencies represented throughout the schedule. Be sure to use URMIA’s Core Competencies for Higher Education Risk Managers [member login required] to note gaps in your own professional development that you’d like to address through your conference attendance.
Is there a conference app?
Yes! We are using the Cvent event system again this year. Using either the mobile app or a web browser, you will be able to access the latest schedule, keep track of when your "can't miss" sessions occur, see a list of all registrants, connect with other attendees both in-person and virtually, and receive important announcements throughout the event. We will share a link to download the app as soon as it is ready.
What makes this a hybrid event?
While some attendees will be in Philadelphia, travel is no longer a requirement for attending an URMIA annual conference! Our virtual registrants will be able to participate in select conference sessions and activities, live and in real time, from wherever they are. Not only will the virtual sessions be livestreamed, presenters and hosts will intentionally engage registrants regardless of how they attend.
At this time, we plan for all of the virtual schedule to be recorded and available exclusively to conference registrants for a full year. If that changes, we’ll let you know so you can be sure to attend those sessions live.
What is the easiest way to see what is offered to virtual attendees?
Once we have determined which sessions will be produced virtually, attendees will be able to find all of the virtual sessions that will be available by clicking the "Filters" button and choosing the "Virtual" tag on the program listing page.
I've never attended the annual conference virtually. What do I need to know?
We are excited to have you attending the conference virtually! The best advice is to plan to attend our Virtual Newcomer Welcome & Orientation session later this year. You will receive an email invitation to this event if you marked on the registration form that this is your first annual conference with URMIA. Contact the URMIA Office if you didn’t mark this (or don’t remember if you did) and we’ll make sure you get an invitation to register for this free Zoom session. We’ll have fun while meeting other virtual attendees and learning what to expect during the conference.
